OCTOBER BOARD MEETING &
NOMINATION MEETING FOR 2021 CINCINNATI SCCA & BOARD of DIRECTORS
WILL BE A VIRTUAL MEETING TUESDAY OCTOBER 20th 7:30PM!
Hello Cincinnati SCCA Members!
It’s that time of the year again when we get ready for our elections to the Cincinnati SCCA Board for the following year. Our October meeting is Tuesday night 10/20/2020 at 7:30pm and will be a ZOOM Meeting.
If you are interested in running for a position that will be elected during our November Meeting, YOU MUST ATTEND THE OCTOBER NOMINATING MEETING ON 10/20/2020 TO BE NOMINATED TO BE ON THE BALLOT. This nominating meeting will be like no other nominations meeting we have had before, due to the COVID restrictions it will be via ZOOM.
If you would like to attend this meeting on Tuesday 10/20/20 at 7:30pm, please email your request to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your FULL NAME and CINCY SCCA MEMBER # so that we can reply to you with the Zoom Meeting Information.
In response to recent COVID-19 concerns, we were holding last few Monthly Board Meetings on Zoom. For July, we are inviting general members to our Zoom Meeting. There are limited number of seats available, so please register yourself on CincySCCA.MotorsportReg.com to receive the zoom link.
The meeting starts at 7:30PM on July 21st.
If you have any questions regarding zoom meetings, please contact us through website/email/Facebook.
We look forward to see you all in our virtual meeting room!
We are now offering the Speed Waiver at our Solo events.
If you have signed up for Point Event #4, you will receive an email shortly with a link to the Speed Waiver.
(You will need a smartphone with text/data ,fee may apply, to complete the Speed Waiver.)
Once you receive the email, please follow the link, and complete the sign up process.
You will then be provided a screen that looks like your photo ID, and also a text message with the link to the page.
You need to open the page, and show to the waiver staff at the gate, and receive a wristband.
This will reduce the time it takes at the gate as you will no longer need to sign the paper waiver at the gate.
Please be prepared before you arrive to the gate, so that you are ready to show us the screen shot or waiver page.
Annual waiver is still available through SCCA, and if you do have one already, there is no need to sign the speed waiver.
We will have the paper waiver available at the site as well.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
After seeking a possible online general meeting, due to the technical/cost difficulties, we unfortunately will only holding a board member meeting for the May, and canceled our general meeting.
However, we are open to any questions you may have to our regions, and happy to discuss during the board meeting and publicize the answers afterwards. Also our meeting logs are available to those who would like.
For the questions, inquiry for the meeting log or any other request to the region board members, please email RE@CincySCCA.com.
As Ohio Stay at Home Order has been extended through May 1st, our events scheduled for April 25th and 26th, MMC Test and Tune and our Point Event 1 have been cancelled.
Please note the Cincinnati Region Solo program does not process the payment until the registration close date, thus there will be no refunds to be processed. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
Also, we are in contact with the Evolution Performance Driving School to determine how this will affect our schools scheduled for May 2nd/3rd. Please stay tuned for any cancellations and schedule changes for our future events.
We regret to inform everyone we are cancelling our autocross events the weekend of Apr 4 & 5 in response to corona virus concerns. This includes the SCCA Starting Line event and our season opening Fun Event.
We have been working closely with Traders World, the City of Monroe, our region leadership, other SCCA regions, and SCCA national office exploring options to still conduct our events while complying with state guidelines and recommendations from CDC. At this time with Traders World closed on a week-to-week basis, the state limit of 50 people, and associated CDC guidance, cancellation is the most prudent option to help prevent the spread of the Corona virus or potentially put other individuals at undue risk.
We will continue to work closely with all concerned to return as soon as possible. Stay tuned on info regarding the Apr 25 – 26 events.
