Rallycross End of Year Report

The much coveted, Charles Eugène Jules Marie Nungesser ace driver award goes to (drum roll please)….. OVR’s Lothrop Withington IV (Draco)… a bottle of something French and wet will land near you in the coming future… a hearty congratulations from Bitzer’s Farm.

We want to give special mention to the Team Watermelon entry for the most absolutly abusive behavior directed towards a used car with 45 runs completed during one event with no apparent damage.

Rally Report: The Day of the Dusty Cats…

OVR RallyCross Point Event #5, Aug. 26, 2017

A Couple of batches of new kittens welcomed the excitement of 50 competitors during August RallyCross at Bitzer’s Farm.

In stock all-wheel drive:
1st Place winner Jermiah Johnson opened up a 9 second lead over John Voegeli followed by duane Simons, Michal Hareson, Michael Hensley and Michael Holland.

In stock front: (race of the day)
1st place winner Andy Buehler bested Jeff McGee by 2.17 seconds followed by Brian lynch only .343 of a second behind him.

In Stock Rear:
1st Place winner Nathan Roberts finished convincingly 34 seconds ahead of Ryan street and tyler baumet.

In prepared all-wheel drive:
1st Place winner Zb Lorenc overcame the charges of Orion Fairman, Kyle Krietzer and Kirk Davis.

In prepared front:
Winner Pete Remner outran the Dodges of Mathew McGee and Alex Ashbaugh followed by Sidney Scott, Logan Waller, Mike Buehler and Donna England.

In Prepared rear:
1st Place went to Tavis Spencer over Mike Cessna, Chase Heikkila and Luke Seckman.

In Modified all-wheel drive:
1st place with the fastest course time of the day went to Lothrop Withington IV followed by Jeremie Snyder, Joshua Zortman, Richard Hopple, Jacob Sanor, Trevor Taylor and Zachary Sanor.

In Modified Front Wheel Drive:
Winner Matthew Taylor overcame John E England, Tim Spellman, Lori Rensing and William Ehrman.

In Modified rear wheel drive:
Winner Evan Arthur bested john w England by .763 of a second followed by Ryan Miles, Tact Takagi, Alex Aeschbury and Zach Harris.

In Exhibition Class:
1st place honors went to Daniel Shea followed by Jesse Young, Ben Andrews, Josh Sharp and Tyler Moser.

A Big Thank You To Reghan, Amy and Steve for Keeping everyone watered and fed. And the good folks from OVR for hosting another great Event. Also WOR and Cincy regions for their continued support!

Our next event will be pe #6 on Sept 16 with a night of camping and fun and followed on Sunday Sept 17 with a makeup event for PE #1….

Rally Report: No Rain!!!

33 entrants braved the threat of, you guessed it, rain for OVR points event #4 at Bitzer’ s Farm… however after a very early morning shower the rest of the day was perfect RallyCrossing. The course was more technical for the 5 morning runs and faster after the lunch break. Each entrant completed 10 runs for the day and with 9 classes being represented!

Modified Rear hosted the battle of the day with John W England in his Miata holding off The Ryan Miles Porsche by 2.6 seconds. John E England and Daniel Shea battled for 3rd and 4th with a 2.344 gap. Scott Bitzer and Andy Storck finished up the field in the Team Gerbil BMW.

Modified Front Saw Wiliiam Ehrman in his neon glh besting Matthew Taylor.

Modified All was led by Lathrop Withington IV (the overall fastest car of the day) in his Subaru STI over Jeremie Snyder, Joshua Zortman, Jacob Sanor and Chris Nash.

Prepared Front Was won by Neohio’s own Pete Remner sporting his Volvo for the weekend, followed by Mathew McGee, Alex Ashbaugh and Logan Waller.

Prepared All was won by a very lonely Orion Fairman in his schwarz Zastava Onpressa 2.5t…

Stock Rear was dominated by the team watermelon entries of Tavis Spencer and Takuto Takagi followed by Tyler Moser, Nathaniel Rosso and Tyler Baumet.

Stock Front saw Caleb Schuiling besting Andy Kihm, Eric Schmidt and Brian Lynch.

Stock All winner John Voegeli overcame the charges of Duane Simons and Michael Holland.

Exhibition class was Won by Sidney Scott with and overall time of 321.569 besting the Team Watermelon Miata of Nathan Roberts and Ryan Street.

It was a wonderful event hosted by the crew at OVR… Special thanks to Jeremie Snider for all his dedication and hard work!

The next event is Saturday, August 26, 2017 OVR PE5 at Bitzer’s Farm, Greenfield OH 45123

24 June 2017- Attack of the newcomers!

OVR RallyCross Points Event #3

First and foremost We’d like to say Thank You and extend a warm welcome to all the new faces that came out for these first few events! As everyone has noticed the weather is always a big question mark and sometimes it doesn’t always work out. Saturday it did!!

Heavy rains the evening before opened the field with less than ideal conditions, however the weather was perfect all day and sections were brewing up dust by the end of competition. All 9 classes were represented and 33 entrants made 10 passes over the course.

In Stock All: Duane Simons stood on top of the podium followed by Brian Lynch and Max Lipson.

Stock Front: Ty Upton , Jeff McGee and Tom Giordano rounded the top 3 followed by Tavis Spencer and Konstantin Volkov

Stock Rear became the all Tyler class with Tyler Moser in his 300zx in first followed by Tyler Baumet in his Z28.

Prepared All was the battle of the WRX’s with Mathew McGee besting the efforts of Jerry Stem.

Prepared Front was the Lonely Alex Ashbaugh leading the charge!

Prepared Rear honors were won by Michael Cessna over Jeremy Emerson

Modified All was home to fastest lap of the day laid down by Lathrop Withington IV, hotly followed by Joshua Zortman, Jeremy Snyder, Jacob Sanor and Richard Hopple

Modified Front saw the battle of the day with William Ehrman eeking out just a .754 victory over Tim Spellman followed by Matthew Taylor, Will Kuhnes, Nathan
Roberts and Ryan Street

Modified rear saw John W England covering the rest of the field with mud followed by Evan Arthur, Scott Bitzer , John E England , Lawrence Malloy and Dick Hammer

Exhibitionist Class was a party of one with Sidney Scott
