Excited to announce our new autocross site for 2017: Traders World in Monroe, OH!!!
Traders World is in a great location, I-75 & SR-63 (exit 29) and offers a fantastic facility! We will be using the west lot, the one closest to I-75. Tons of great shopping for your friends and family as well as a food court for breakfast and lunch. Traders World promises to be a great partner and host for our events. Stay tuned, more details to follow as things are finalized.

Your instructor will show you the line of the track, braking points, and passing zones. Free camping, Event T-shirt, and the BEST FUN you will ever have.
This is a great opportunity to see what you and your car can do on a real racetrack.
Registration will open on May 18th at MotorsportsReg.com or you can print a Tech and Entry Form on our PDX Page and mail them in.
You can save $50 off the cost of your entry if you help work our Todd Cholmondeley IT Spec-tacular Race Weekend on August 5th, 6th 2017.
Cincy SCCA will have a solo program this year. At the moment the only confirmed option we have is Turfway. We are in talks with several other options and if anyone has a suggestion let me know and I’ll investigate. But please, if you are not the solo chair or haven’t talked to me first do not contact sites! I have packets for site acquisition if you’d like to get one to a prospect.
The 2016 season is now in the books and not one to be soon forgotten. While our region hosted a number of amazing national events and a divisional, we also had a fantastic regional season as well!
Some of our most hotly contested classes were our open classes. Street Touring Open saw a slight drop in attendance this year but no shortage of great racing with Tavis Spencer holding off Myke Dziengel, although throughout the season Myke kept the pressure on but was never able to capitalize.
Kent Weaver, Joe Eglseder, Colleen Cabe, Ralph Hartmann, Crissy Weaver, Ken Marcotte, Steve Carey, Robert Clark, Robert Armstrong, Mike Wolf, Claire Frimming, Obren Williams, Kumar Viswalingam and Tim Viars all took home year end wins in their respective classes.
F Street was a hard fought battle all year long with Krzysztof Zielinski, Steve Munday and Max Mischenko all trading blows throughout the season, with the win finally coming down to Krzysztof in the final races of the season.
Street Open was more one-sided with Jim Zeisler taking home a perfect 500 point season leaving the fight for 2nd down to Nathan Roberts and Aaron Gastrich with the score not being settled until the final race.
Outside of our region events we are very proud of Crissy Weaver taking home a Solo Nationals win in STUL out in Lincoln, Nebraska, fighting off rainy weather and a deep class of competitive cars and drivers!
Overall we are very pleased with how the season went and sad to see it come to a close. We want to thank everyone that came out, had a good time and lent a hand!
The 2016 edition of the Cincinnati IT/SPEC*tacular was held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on August 5-7. Friday was a combined Performance Driving Experience (PDX) and daytime Test-n-Tune. Forty-six new and experienced drivers took to the course to hone their driving skills during the PDX. Another fifty Club Racers participated in the Test-n-Tune sessions to get themselves and/or their car ready for the weekend’s races. Friday evening, a Meet-n-Greet was held to allow all drivers, crew, stewards, and volunteer workers to gather for snacks and drinks along with bench racing. Memorial toasts were conducted for our recently lost Cincinnati Region members.
Saturday and Sunday’s races were conducted with 189 entries. Good weather and good racing, combined with an experienced Stewards crew allowed the races to be conducted smoothly and mostly on schedule. Saturday evening we hosted a volunteer worker/official dinner in the LEC campground. Competition on the track was tight and several new track records were set over the weekend.
All comments received from participants were very positive. This is largely a result of our dedicated volunteer workers and specialty chiefs!
As I pass the Race Chairmanship position onto Brian Walker for the 2017 season, I’d like to give everyone involved over the four years of my stewardship my sincere thanks for supporting the Cincinnati Region’s Club Racing Program. We can be proud of the races we have hosted!
