I may be partial, but 2019 was a huge success and we are looking forward to making 2020 even better! Glad to say we will be returning to Traders World even though their are a few minor things yet to be finalized. Our schedule is posted along with other regions or events of interest.
Come join the solo committee and help us make the events even better!

Happy New Year! Get ready for a new season of Road Rallies. There are still plenty of roads in the Tri-State area not yet explored. We will bring you some new ones and probably mix in some old favorites.
Mark these tentative dates on your calendar: April 25, May 30, July 11, August 29, October 3 & November 7. Rally Masters can choose from these dates (or suggest a new date). New Rally Masters are encouraged to join in and bring new roads and ideas to our group. Ample help is available to assist with set-up, so don’t be intimidated.
This season, along with our traditional routes & questions format, a foolproof drive (with mileages of turns and without questions) will be available for those wanting to enjoy the scenic routes we set up without the competitive aspect. This will be a Rally Trek set-up which is more akin to what car clubs tend to offer. Gather up your fellow car enthusiasts and come join us this season.

Happy New Year! Mark your calendar for August 7-9. Friday will be our annual Track Event, where you can take your car (solo, prepared, daily driver, whatever will pass tech inspection) on the beautiful Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, with a qualified coach to help you learn the track. Ample sessions will be offered – enough to wear you out and keep you grinning for days, maybe longer.
Saturday and Sunday will be dominated by SCCA Championship class races. We also expect to offer a 1-hour race, open to all safety compliant cars driven by competition licensed and NON-Comp license drivers alike.
If you wish to join us at planning and preparation meetings, let me know and I’ll get you information as to time and location. COMMITTEE MEMBERS NOTE – Our regular meeting place closed for business effective 12/30. I am actively searching for another suitable place and will certainly entertain suggestions. Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14.

Carol Uller was the Chief of T&S crews, Pete Uller, Jon Goins and Sam Goins.
The 56th SCCA National Championship Runoffs was held at VIRginia International Raceway.
Cincinnati Region Driver Rob Bax qualified 8th, moving up from 9th on his second attempt.
He stumbled on the race start, dropping to 12th.
After lap 5, Rob began charging and picked his way back to a 7th place finish.
We are so proud of our workers!
Tim & Bobby Ross were working Tech, checking competitors fuel.
Sound was run by Cincy member Wayne Briggs.
It was only a two man team (as far as I could tell) with Harry Belizairs working the other half.
Bob Cowie was working course for the week.
He spent a lot of time on “Race Street”
Bob also presented the end of event toast dedicated to SCCA members who past.

2020 Solo Schedule is out. Please note that it is VERY TENTATIVE, and subject to change.
Registration will typically open one month before the event, and will close at 10PM, 2 days before the event (on Friday for Sunday Events, on Thursday for Sat/Sun events).
Our events tend to sell out early in the week before the event, so please register for the events as early as you can. If the event is sold out, please sign up for the waitlist to improve your chances of getting in.

Our 2019 season has officially been wrapped up and now is the time to reflect on the year and plan for an even more exciting 2020!
I have a few updates to go over so let’s start rolling:

Next, our ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET will be on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 1ST, 2020 and returning to RECEPTIONS – FAIRFIELD (located at 5975 Boymel Dr, Fairfield, Ohio). Details and ONLINE Registration will be coming VERY VERY soon, so mark your calendars and keep watch for the official announcement!
Also an important update regarding our monthly memebrship/board meetings. Due to drastic price increases we have unfortunately had our last monthly meeting at the Mill Race Banquet Center. Mill Race has been good to us in the past but it is a Hamilton County Park facility and they have updated their room rentals to be way out of our reasonable budget expenses. BUT NO FEAR! We have had other great meeting locations in the past and we will continue to find new ones going forward! Our members are very resourceful and we have some great plans in the works! So while our complete 2020 meeting schedule/locations are still being hashed out, please plan on our first meeting for 2020 will be on January 21st, 2020 at 7pm at MAC’S PIZZA PUB (Upstairs Room) – Wooster Pike location (6309 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45227). We had some great meetings in 2019 at Mac’s and we are glad that they can fit us into our schedule. We will have our full 2020 schedule coming soon with another great location to be announced!
